It is liars that tend to be the loudest, for their words must reach the back of rooms. Honest men in my experience by nature are quiet, for their words need not concern itself with the size of venues, the power of their words of an honest man come not from the volume of which they are spoken but from truth.Where falsehoods are limited by acoustics, the truth however, can be heard across centuries even as whispers.
The beautiful among us do not have it wasted upon their faces, to be fed upon by lustful eyes, to be faded by the ravaged of time and age. They impart theirs differently, weaving it within their words and actions to enrich minds and hearts,to which time the great destroyer of feebleness, is compelled to aid its greatness through memory.
Inspiring people do not insert new ideas or feelings in others. The secret to their gift lies in their words and actions, their supernatural ability to cast light into the dark recesses mankind’s minds and hearts allowing to people to bare witness the truths that were already within them but not readily seen.
A writer does not cry, not that his pain is any less or any different, merely the manner of expression. Where another’s pain is witnessed through the running of tears across a face, his tears are different, they are ink, nor do they run across faces, but rather upon pages.
We have the word Mankind. It is an interesting one, in that in referring to our collective being, the powers that be have chosen the word “kind” to come after the word “man”. While in this case the word “kind” primarily refers type of thing, but interestingly the word “kind” can also be take to mean gentle and compassionate.Of all the words that could have been, it was this one. Why? Is it an expression of fact that man in his very basic natural form kind and gentle? Or it is an expression of optimism and hope, that perhaps man is not as such but should aspire to be and hopefully one day will be, embodiment of the word “kind” in this world. But it is a beautiful idea nonetheless regardless of the truth of it, that in merely talking of humanity as a whole we have made the idea of what it means to be a person and the idea of compassion and goodness inseparable.
I am not a fan of tattoos with powerful quotes, It is far too easy to tame powerful words and model them and trap them on one skin. What is not easy is to tame ones being, to model ones life after those words. Let ones actions and body be the representation of the power that lies behind those words.
