Pity those with a beautiful face, for it is beauty wasted. Existing in its cheapest and weakest form, unable withstand time, appreciated within a mere span of a glance. Cherish those who did not waste their beauty upon themselves, those who have mastered the ability to apply it to their surroundings, produced a beauty that lasts, a beauty that takes a lifetime to know.
We have the word Mankind. It is an interesting one, in that in referring to our collective being, the powers that be have chosen the word “kind” to come after the word “man”. While in this case the word “kind” primarily refers type of thing, but interestingly the word “kind” can also be take to mean gentle and compassionate.Of all the words that could have been, it was this one. Why? Is it an expression of fact that man in his very basic natural form kind and gentle? Or it is an expression of optimism and hope, that perhaps man is not as such but should aspire to be and hopefully one day will be, embodiment of the word “kind” in this world. But it is a beautiful idea nonetheless regardless of the truth of it, that in merely talking of humanity as a whole we have made the idea of what it means to be a person and the idea of compassion and goodness inseparable.
“History reveres those who chose to be different as equally as the present that damns them.”
The issue in the states of regarding the hatred towards the trans gendered, is not about the leftist versus rightist. Its an issue about common human decency. To say that its a new concept in of itself would be wrong and unjust for they have existed throughout history, but it is a new concept to me, to my understanding that it is and I do not know much about it, let alone understand in the same way who is trans-gendered would. It’s fine that I don’t understand, I may never will. What is not right is to expect an another human being who as much a right to exist and desire to exist as I, to conform, to conform only to bring comfort to my own ignorance. That is something I do understand.
I don’t like the word “normal” when used in regards to a person, as much as it is an adjective, it is a form of social control, an expectation of conformity, a prison without bars imposed by society.
“He who has learned to live detached, has mastered the ability to leave this world, without having to die.”
